Awareness and perception:
Are you aware of the concept of ethical/ responsible consumption?
(Buying goods based on the impact it has on workers, community, and environment etc.)
Do you care about where and in what conditions your products are made?
Would you prefer to buy products that are produced ethically and responsibly?
(Meaning that the workers / farmers/ producers are not exploited and earn a living wage, do not have an adverse impact on the environment and is transparent)
What emotions do you feel/ will feel when you buy ethical/ responsible products?
What are / could be your motivations to buy ethical/ responsible products?
What hinders or will hinder buying ethical/ responsible products?
What could help drive ethical / responsible consumption in India?
Seems like you have missed a question or two.

Thank you!
Congratulations on completing this important survey! ‘Fair trade’ and ‘ethical consumerism’ are more than just buzz words. As consumers, it is important that we know in what conditions the products we consume are made, and advocate for responsible and ethical production. Often when we consume products, we are not informed of the working condition of the workers/farmers/ producers, if they are earning a living wage and the adverse impacts our consumption has on the environment. One such commodity is tea. This tea comes at a cost much higher than you can imagine:
Poor living conditions. No toilets. No drinking water facilities. Ill-equipped hospitals. Dismal wages.
Your responses will help Oxfam India reach out to companies and brands to demand responsible and ethical sourcing and production. Share this survey ahead to take forward this important conversation. You can also give a missed call on 7097970979 to know more about the #TruthAboutTea campaign.
